REACH

REACH is a new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use. It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. The new law entered into force on 1 June 2007.

Philips supports the objective of REACH to further improve the European Union’s regulation on chemicals, including the aim to advance public health and safety and to protect the environment.

With regard to substances in articles we have requested our suppliers to provide us with information on the substances in their products. Based on the information received from our suppliers, Philips can provide you with information concerning Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in our articles. Furthermore Philips confirms that it complies with all relevant marketing and use restrictions pursuant of REACH.
